EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT

EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT

Employers must reimburse you for reasonable expenses you incur in the ordinary course of business at the direction of your employer. (California Labor Code §§ 2802-2804)

Common examples of reimbursable business expenses include:

• Mileage for the use of your vehicle;
• Use of your cell phone as a condition of employment;
• Using home computers or home internet as a requirement for work;
• Purchase and maintenance of uniforms required for work;
• Purchase and maintenance of tools and equipment required for work.

If you are required to use your own hand tools at work, your employer must pay you at least two time (2x) the minimum wage. If you believe your employer is cheating you on reimbursement of work expenses, call or text David Mallen now.
